Yesterday I went to the city center and I got everything I needed for my outfit BUT I’m not going to show you what I’m going to wear. All you have to know is that I’m going to be sparkling.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi peeeeeeps!

Merry Xmas to you all! How was your day?

I spent this lovely day with my family but I definitely ate too much. Yup.

And today I also watched the new episode of Doctor Who (the tv series I was talking about in one of my last posts) so I had to calm down just a bit.

TOO MANY FEELINGS TODAY

If you don’t follow me on Instagram (shame on you, go and follow me NOW! @allegoricalle), this was my OOTD. It was easy going so I wore something cute but comfy.

I received so many amazing gifts. Thank you, love you sooooo much!

I decided to share some of them with you so you can be inspired by these things and you can give them as a gift to your friends for their birthday or for next Christmas or in a special occasion.

• A perfume. Ok it’s a quite common gift, I know. But I love perfumes. A lot of girls love them. You can buy a set, like the one I got or you can create a new fragrance on some web sites.
• A beauty/nail polishes set. Girls usually love take care of themselves. You can put together different products (like I did for my lovely auntie) or you can buy something already “built”. AND it can be a not-so-expensive gift, you just have to choose wisely.
• A nail art kit. This was my brother’s gift idea for me but I have more or less everything. Luckily he changed his mind. As I said before, you can buy it or you can put together for example a dotter, a brush and a couple of nail polishes.
• Something make-up related. One of my BFFs gave me this super cute “safety lock” and I love it, it’s small and you can put it in your bag and fix your make up during the day. I also asked for a new palette and SURPRISE! I finally got my Naked! (actually it wasn’t a surprise, I chose it because my family didn’t know if I wanted the first one, the second one or the third one. Btw I preferred the first because I literally love the colors, I don’t like that much the other two)
• USB pens. I always lose them. But I think this time I won’t because it’s just super cute.
• Stationery. I mean two things. You can do a DIY like my friend did (thaaaanks sweetie, love you) and take a notebook, cover it with some fabric and trick it out. I’m using it at the moment to write all the posts and the ideas I have while I’m not at home. It’s very useful. As an alternative I mean something that is cute and useful and OMG. Yes, that was my reaction when I understood what they was. They are highlighters nail polish-shaped. I know. They are amaaaazing.
• Speaking continually about customized things, there are a lot of things you can find. Pillows, mugs, t-shirts. But this is something I have never seen. It’s a compact mirror. And my face is on it. It’s so cute (and, let’s be clear, it’s not just because I am on it)

Buon Natale! Come è andata la giornata?

Io l’ho passato con la mia famiglia e ho mangiato troppo. Purtroppo.

Questa sera ho visto anche il nuovo episodio di Doctor Who e quindi avevo bisogno di calmarmi un attimo. Quale modo migliore se non scrivere un post?

DECISAMENTE TROPPE EMOZIONI

Questo era il mio outfit. È stata una giornata tranquilla, quindi ho optato per qualcosa di carino ma comodo. Se mi seguite su Instagram l’avrete già visto. Se ancora non mi seguite (male male! Fatelo subito! @allegoricalle), eccolo qui.

Ho ricevuto un saaaaacco di regali bellissimi. Grazie di cuore!

Ho deciso di condividerne alcuni con voi. Non lo faccio per vantarmi, volevo solo suggerirvi qualche spunto per il futuro.

• Un profumo. Ok, potrebbe essere un’idea scontata, lo capisco. Ma, personalmente, adoro i profumi. E come me, molte altre ragazze. Se non volete comprare un set (come quello che mi è stato regalato), esistono siti in cui è possibile creare addirittura una nuova fragranza.
• Un cofanetto di bellezza/set di smalti. Le ragazze di solito amano prendersi cura di loro stesse. Potete acquistare un cofanetto già “assemblato” o crearne uno voi, scegliendo diversi prodotti. Può essere un regalo non troppo costoso, basta saper scegliere attentamente.
• Un kit per nail art. Era l’idea di mio fratello che, fortunatamente, ha cambiato idea. Anche perchè, essendo un’appassionata, ho più o meno tutto ciò che mi serve. Come ho detto prima, anche questa può essere un’idea carina e non troppo costosa. Esistono kit già fatti (per esempio quelli della Pupa o della Ciatè) oppure ne potete costruire uno voi, unendo un dotter (serve a fare i puntini), un pennello e un paio di smalti.
• Qualcosa inerente al make-up. Una delle mie migliori amiche mi ha regalato questo tenerissimo palette a forma di lucchetto, che adoro. È piccola e comoda da tenere in borsa per eventuali ritocchi durante la giornata. In realtà ho ricevuto anche un’altra palette, la celeberrima Naked. Se devo essere sincera, sono stata io stessa a chiederla e ho scelto la prima per i fantastici colori, le altre due non mi esaltavano troppo. Non vedo l’ora di usarla!
• Una penna USB. Può essere un regalo inusuale. Specie se è come quella che ho ricevuto io, a forma di rossetto.
• Cancelleria. Non nel vero senso della parola. Potete creare voi qualcosa, come ha fatto una delle mie migliori amiche e prendere un quaderno, coprirlo con del tessuto e decorarlo a piacimento. Io sto usando questo regalo per scrivere i post e le idee che mi vengono quando sono fuori casa. Lo trovo davvero utile. In alternativa potete regalare qualcosa di carino e utile e OMG. Si. Questa è stata la mia reazione quando ho capito cosa fossero, Sono evidenziatori. Evidenziatori a forma di smalto. Non dite niente, sono semplicemente fantastici.
• Sempre parlando di oggetti personalizzati, esistono diversi siti in cui è possibile decorare cuscini, tazze, magliette. Ma questo è non l’avevo mai visto. È uno specchietto. Con la mia faccia sopra. È troppo carino (e, credetemi, non lo dico solo perché c’è una mia foto).

EXAM+SJP FOR MANOLO BLAHNIK+HAUL+COCO

Hi peeps! Guess who passed her first exam at uni on Monday? MEEEEEE!!!

I still can’t stop smiling, I’m so happy!

I have to admit that I’m very tired, I’ve been studying a lot and my brain hurts but it was worth it.

I needed to take a break so I went to the city center after my exam and I took some time for myself. And with the expression “I took some time for myself” I mean I went shopping.

It’s a thing I’ve done after all my exams: I buy myself something. It’s like “well done Allegra, here is a gift for having worked so hard”. Have you ever done it? I mean, I think it’s quite useful to reward yourself, isn’t it?

Obviously, even if I was studying, I kept an eye on the world of fashion and I got a couple of ideas.

Christmas is coming so I thought it would have been a cool idea to post some cute (and not so expensive) last minute outfit ideas for Christmas and New Year’s Eve and also some gift ideas if you did like me and you didn’t buy anything yet (at least I have the excuse I had my exam).

For example, what about the new Manolo Blahnik collection by Sarah Jessica Parker? I know, some pieces are more affordable than others but Christmas is also about dreams coming true so why shouldn’t we dream about Carrie’s inspired shoes?

These amazing shoes, that will be out at the beginning of 2014, are made in Italy. There is the “Ina” model, dedicated to Ina Treciokas, her agent; “Iva Rifkin”, in honor of Ron Rifkin’s wife, because he is one of the closest SJP’s friends; “Carrie”, inspired by SJP alter ego in “Sex and the City”.

The prices goes from 150 $ to 450$.

Do you remember I wrote my paper for my exam in June/July about Coco Chanel? Well, that brilliant man of Karl Lagerfeld decided to film another short film about her. These are the links for the trailer and for the film.

I really really liked it. What do you think about it?

Ciaaaaaao! Indovinate chi lunedì ha passato il suo primo esame da universitaria? IOOOOOO!!!

Ancora adesso non riesco a smettere di sorridere, sono così felice!

Devo ammettere, però, che sono piuttosto stanca. Ho studiato veramente tanto ma ne è valsa la pena.

Avevo bisogno di prendermi un pomeriggio di pausa così, dopo l’esame, sono andata a fare un giro in centro e mi sono presa del tempo per me stessa. E con “mi sono presa del tempo per me stessa” intendo fare shopping.

Ormai è un’abitudine che ho da qualche tempo: dopo ogni esame mi compro qualcosa. È come dire “brava Allegra, ottimo lavoro, ecco una piccola ricompensa per aver lavorato duramente”. Non credo di essere l’unica a farlo. Insomma, penso sia piuttosto utile, non solo come incentivo a continuare così ma anche come soddisfazione personale: farsi un regalino di tanto in tanto fa bene all’umore.

Ovviamente, anche se stavo studiando, ho tenuto sotto controllo il mondo della moda e ho avuto un paio di idee.

Natale sia sta (pericolosamente) avvicinando quindi ho pensato sarebbe stata una bella idea postare degli outfit carini (e non troppo costosi) per Natale e Capodanno, insieme a dei suggerimenti per i regali, se anche voi avete fatto come la sottoscritta e vi siete ridotte/i all’ultimo per i vostri acquisti (almeno io avevo la scusa dell’esame).

Per esempio, che ne dite della nuova collezione di Sarah Jessica Parker per Manolo Blahnik? Lo so, alcuni pezzi sono un po’ fuori budget ma a Natale si sogna spesso quindi perchè non sognare anche queste meraviglie ispirate a Carrie?

Queste fantastiche scarpe, prodotte in Italia, usciranno sugli scaffali di Nordstrom all’inizio del 2014. C’è il modello “Ina”, ispirato alla sua agenta Ina Treciokas; il modello “Iva Rifkin”, in onore della moglie dell’attore Ron Rifkin, grande amico di SJP; e, ovviamente, l’immancabile modello “Carrie”, che probabilmente entrerà nella leggenda glamour.

DO NOT DISTURB, I’M FANGIRLING

Hi peeps!

Sorry if I didn’t post anything this week but I was busy. Actually, VERY BUSY.

I spent the week fangirling. And studying. Because I have two exams very soon and I have a lot of stuff to study. But most fangirling. Yep.

For people who doesn’t know what this means (shame on you!) fangirling is the reaction a fangirl has to any mention or sighting of the object of her “affection”. These reactions include shortness of breath, fainting, high pitched noises, shaking, fierce head shaking as in the midst of a seizure, wet panties, endless blog post, etc…

YEP. I’M NOT JUST A STUDENT, AN ASPIRING FASHION BLOGGER AND A SHOPAHOLIC. I’M ALSO A FANGIRL! DA DA DA DAAAAAA

I think I told you I’m a bit geeky. And that’s why I couldn’t write anything: I wasn’t emotionally prepared. All those emotions together. Can you understand me?

On Saturday 23rd it was the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. It’s the longest tv series ever and it’s about a super cool time and space traveler, called The Doctor, who travels around the universe in his Tardis (his spaceship) with a companion.

It was just amazing. I cried more or less all the episode and then I became upset because I have to wait til Christmas for the next episode. That’ll be even more amazing.

Then on Sunday night I went out with one of my BFFs and we went to the cinema. We watched Thor-The Dark World. And it was breathtaking. I really really liked it. And, admit it, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston (who play Thor and Loki) are super hot. So, basically, we fangirled a lot.

And, last but not least, Friday night we went again to the cinema and we saw The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Awesome. Really really awesome. Katniss Everdeen is so amazing and courageous. She’s a role model.

I know this post is not about fashion but this is a part of me and I think it’s time for you to find out something more about who I am. I just don’t have words to express all the emotions I felt in that moment. My geeky part was overwhelmed.

I’m so sorry I didn’t post something for Allegralovescooking this month but I hadn’t time to write it. I promise that as soon as I can I’ll come up with something. Trust me.

There is another news. And this is about me and the world of fashion, more or less. I got a new pair of glasses by Marc Jacobs. And I freaking love them (even if some of my friends thought up a looooot of cute nicknames about them and me wearing them). Yeeeeee.

Mi spiace non aver postato niente ultimamente ma sono stata impegnata. Molto impegnata.

Ho passato la settimana a fangirlare (?). E studiare, perchè tra poco dovrò sostenere due esami e ho davvero tanto da studiare. Ma ho soprattutto fangirlato. Yep.

Per le persone che non hanno idea di cosa voglia dire fangirlare, è la reazione che una fangirl ha quando qualcuno meziona (o se vede) qualcosa a proposito della sua “ossessione”. Questa reazione include respiro corto, svenimento, suoni acuti, tremore, feroce disapprovazione come nel mezzo di un attacco epilettico.

QUINDI SI, NON SONO SEMPLICEMENTE UNA STUDENTESSA, ASPIRANTE FASHION BLOGGER, SHOPAHOLIC. SONO ANCHE UNA FANGIRL! DA DA DA DAAAAA!

Non ve l’aspettavate, vero?

Penso di avervi già detto in passato che sono un po’ geek. Il fatto è che questa settimana non ero emotivamente pronta a scrivere post. Tutte quelle emozioni tutte insieme. Mi capite?

Sabato scorso è stato trasmesso lo speciale per il 50° anniversario di Doctor Who. È la più lunga serie tv di sempre e parla di un fighissimo viaggiatore nel tempo e nello spazio, chiamato Il Dottore, che va in giro per l’universo con il Tardis, la sua navicella spaziale, e uno o più compagni.   

È stato semplicemente incredibile. Ho pianto per la maggior parte dell’episodio e sono ancora giù perchè dovrò aspettare fino a Natale per un’altra puntata, che dovrebbe essere anche più emozionante di questa.

Domenica sera sono andata al cinema con una delle mie migliori amiche e abbiamo visto Thor-The Dark World. Fantastico! Mi è piaciuto davvero molto (e non solo perchè ci sono Chris Hemsworth e Tom Hiddleston che interpretano Thor e Loki). Diciamo che ci siamo fatte sentire in sala.

E, infine, venerdì sera siamo andate nuovamente al cinema per The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Incredibile. Davvero. Katniss Everdeen è così coraggiosa. È un modello da seguire.

Lo so che questo post non c’entra niente con la moda ma è ora che conosciate anche altri lati di me e del mio carattere. E non ci sono altri modi per esprimere tutte le emozioni che la mia parte geek ha provato.

Mi spiace davvero tanto di non essere riuscita a scrivere il post di Allegralovescooking (soprattutto perchè ho in serbo per voi una ricetta davvero deliziosa). Vi prometto che appena finisco di fangirlare (e soprattutto studiare) tornerò alla carica con tante novità. Fidatevi.

Un’ultima cosa (ed ecco il lato fashion che riemerge). Ho deciso di cambiare montatura dei miei occhiali (Marc Jacobs erano e Marc Jacobs sono. Non posso fare a meno di lui). E li adoro. Li trovo davvero fantastici (a dispetto dei teneri soprannomi che i miei amici mi hanno affibbiato). Che ne pensate?
